Marco Cambri Trio
Marco Cambri proposes a repertoire of original songs in Genoese dialect inspired by life stories from the rural world in the Ligurian inland, as when he walks in the silent wood «incantou da-a galaverna» (enchanted by soft rime), or in the forest at dawn «che no gh’ea ancon o sô a sciugaghe a rozâ sotta i pê» (when there was no sun to wipe the dew under the feet) . Portraits of places, people , environments , from which Cambri distills the poetic, distinctive charachter . Verses filled with an overwhelming magic – that of feelings – carving men and women and rural environments, freeing memories and images suspended between time and space , modulated on the rhythms and musicality of the vernacular . The words have not an elegiac or idyllic feature: Marco’s dialect is real and carnal, giving a voice to the outcasts , to the forgotten , to the people who do not appear. Marco Cambri (vocals), Marco Cravero (guitars), Filippo Gambetta (diatonic accordion, mandolin).
